The same flan that was once prepared in small batches is now produced in our state-of-the-art 18,000-square-foot facility in Miami, Florida, using specialized equipment tailored exclusively for flan production.
Consistency has been the secret ingredient. No matter the size of our production, the flavor remains untouched. We’ve stayed true to our roots, preserving the original recipe passed down through generations, and proudly bring that authenticity to every Walmart shelf we now occupy.
A Family Dream Turned National Reality
The story of El Exquisito Sabor began with José Fernandes, a Portuguese immigrant who moved his family from Venezuela to the U.S. in 2010. In 2015, José purchased a struggling bakery in Miami and saw what no one else did potential. With the help of his wife, Maria, and their children, the Fernandes family dedicated themselves to rebuilding that bakery from the ground up.
What began as a humble effort to recreate family recipes soon transformed into a thriving operation that now sells more than 3 million desserts annually. Behind every product is the story of a family that poured their love, time, and faith into building something extraordinary.

This month marks a turning point: our products are now proudly featured in Walmart stores across Miami.
